Description
Cagliari International Container Terminal, Contship group's company which managed the handling of containers at the port of Cagliari, announced the start of a collective dismissal procedure for all its 210 employees working in Cagliari.
The announcement is linked to the company's decision to leave the port of Cagliari due to a further decrease in container traffic leading to significant economic losses with no prospect of recovery.
Trade unions announced the mobilisation of the workers against the company's decision and called for the intervention of public institutions in the dispute.
