The Pestana Hotel Group has inaugurated the Pestana Blue Alvor Beach & Golf Hotel in the town of Alvor, located in Algarve. It represents an investment of €50 million and will create 300 jobs in the region. Pestana Blue Alvor is the first all-inclusive operation of the group to open under the 'Say No to Plastic @ Pestana Hotel Group' programme. The company claims that the initiative will result in the reduction of six tonnes of non-reusable plastic in the first six months of operation.
