Description
Huhtamaki has announced plans to create 100 new jobs as it opens a new factory producing paper straws. The new site in Antrim, Northern Ireland, is the result of a 12 million GBP (€13.49 million) investment and comes as the company has secured a deal to provide fast food giant McDonald's. McDonald's has decided to move to paper straws and away from single use plastic following criticisms of the environmental effect of the plastic version. It is not yet known when all of these new jobs will be filled.
