Description
Call centre firm VeriCall has announced plans to open a new contact centre in Kirkcaldy, Fife. Once the new centre opens, 209 jobs will be created over a two year period. The jobs are being supported by a regional assistance grant of one million GBP (€1.12 million) from the Scottish Government. The company has stated that the new positions will be permanent and full time and pay the Scottish Living Wage - currently 9 GBP per hour (€10.12). Scottish Business Minister welcomed the new jobs and the fact that they will pay the living wage; the minister also stated that he hoped that the jobs would bring further investment to the area.
