Estonian Plywood AS will open a new plywood factory in Jõgevamaa, Estonia in Autumn 2019. 150 employees will be hired over the summer.
Estonian Plywood AS is an Estonian company created by the Lemeks group, one of the largest forest industry enterprises in Estonia. Estonian Plywood AS is engaged in the entire value chain from research, development and production to marketing and sale of plywood across the world. 95% of the production is planned to be sold outside Estonia.
To hire employees, a couple of information days were organised by the company with the aim of introducing the new factory and available jobs. The hiring process will take place until the end of the summer, while the first training programmes take place already in summer and are already paid. The factory will be operating 24 hours a day with 12 hours long shifts. The pay level will depend on the qualifications and skills, the minimum level is €1,069 per month (the average monthly wage in Estonia was €1,310 in 2018).
