Description

The Austrian subsidiary of the German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies Austria has announced to create 220 new jobs at this research and development center in Linz. The research center ('DICE') is developing high-frequency parts for driver assistance systems. Currently, DICE holds 180 employees; 85 per cent of them are academics. Infineon invests €30 million to expand the site and by the end of 2020 additional 220 employees will be hired. The company is relying on the supply with qualified employees from the local Johannes Kepler University (Linz) as well as the nearby University of Applied Sciences in Hagenberg.
