Description
The Polish producer of tractors and agricultural machinery Ursus has announced that it will close down its two production facilities in Lublin and Opalenica. As a result, 189 employees will be dismissed through a collective dismissal programme. The company presented a restructuring plan as it is facing financial troubles, including debt burden. For this reason, Ursus plans to concentrate on producing profitable tractors and agricultural machinery.
Ursus was founded in 1893. Currently, the company has production plants in Lublin, Dobre Miasto near Olsztyn and Opalenica and employs 482 workers.
