Description
Primark, the UK-based 'fast fashion' chain opened a new store in Birmingham, creating 500 new retail jobs. Another 430 existing staff have transferred from the company’s former Birmingham branch. The new store occupies the entire site of a former shopping centre. The director of new business for Primark commented that Primark has seen the changing face of retail globally and locally so that was an opportunity for the company to do something really special. As famous and well-established high street retailers such as House of Fraser and Debenhams face difficulties, Primark continues to grow, including a recently opened branch in Dartford and the expansion of an existing shop in Belfast.
