Description

The Canisius Wilhelmina Ziekenhuis (CWZ), a hospital in the eastern city of the Netherlands, in Nijmegen, will cut 150 FTE positions amongst its nursing staff. The Hospital employs 2,650 FTES. The reason for these redudancies are the increasing costs which the hospital has been facing in recent years  which also entailed budget cuts in the past. Part of the expenses went on modernisation which included buying the Electronic Patient Record (EPD), demmed necessary by the hospital's board, for which the hospital registered a loss of 1.8 million in 2017.
