Cataler, a Japanese exhaust catalyst manufacturer, will open its first manufacturing plant in Europe under the name Cataler Europe Czech and will employ up to 100 people across the technical, administrative and manual professions. The 22,000 m² site (Týniště nad Orlicí) will be taken over by Cataler in January 2020. The plant will produce and distribute catalytic converters for petrol cars according to the strict European standards, assuming an annual volume of one million units. The facility promises to be highly automated, in line with Industry 4.0 standards.
