European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Kuopio-based Finnish biorefining company, Green Fuel Nordic, is building a biofuel production plant in Lieksa, Eastern Finland. The plant will use wood-based raw material to produce biofuel, which can be used for example in heating and transport as well as a raw material for other chemical products.
According to the company, the initial investment's worth is approximately €25 million, backed up venture capital from local investors as well as public funding from the North Karelia ELY Centre.
During the first phase, the investment is expected to create 100 new jobs. The company plans to start commercial operation in 2020.
