Description

The Dutch toy store chain, Intertoys, was preparing to declare bankruptcy at the end of February of 2019. However, the company was able to find support for a restart through the Portuguese company Green Swan. As a result, only 90 out of 286 shops will now close in the Netherlands. This means that out of the total 3,200 employees across 286 stores, between 1,000 and 1,500 will lose their jobs. The aim for the company is to continue business operations after this restart ('doorstart' in Dutch) with 120 own shops, and the series of franchise shops.
