Description
Hull based furniture manufacturer Kingstown Group has announced that it has entered administration and has ceased trading with immediate effect, resulting in the loss of all 280 jobs. The business traded under two company names, Kingstown Furniture and Consort Furniture. Administrators have confirmed that they are working with affected employees and are seeking interest from buyers for various parts of the business. The failure of the company has been attributed to a decline in customers' discretionary spending and the continued bleak economic outlook.
