Description
Danish owned company Danfoss has announced plans to close its factory in Bedford, which will result in the loss of 100 jobs. It had been reported in December 2018 that the company were considering closing the factory, so the subsequent announcement did not come as a surprise. The site which makes controls for heating systems is reported to be in need of significant modernisation and this is thought by the company to be too difficult to achieve at the Bedford site. The final closure is expected to have occurred by the end of 2019.
