Building services contractor McGill has entered administration with the loss of 374 jobs. The company, which is based in Dundee, also operates from sites in Edinburgh and Glasgow, and undertakes construction projects for residential, industrial and commercial sectors. A total of 55 staff will remain at the business while the administrators look for a buyer. The business had operated since 1981 and it is being reported that its collapse is linked to disputes and delays in payments on a number of important contracts. Prior attempts to secure additional funding proved to be unsuccessful.
