Description
Alstom has announced the recruitment of 250 employees (of which 145 in production) by 2022 at its Petite-Forêt site near Valenciennes (Nord). The site's order book has reached its highest peak ever, with production assured over four or five years. Eight projects have recently been awarded to this plant. These include the delivery of between 800 to 1,000 cars for the lines of the future Grand Paris Express; the delivery of 1,400 cars for RATP's Metro lines, and 1,600 cars for SNCF's E and D lines of the Paris RER, or the double-deck trains of SNCB (Belgium).
The site employs just over 1,100 people, mainly dedicated to the design and manufacture of trains. Of the 250 additional recruitments, 145 are dedicated to production. The management is looking for qualified profiles: welders, cable workers, trimmers, but also technicians, engineers, experts and managers. A former recruitment announced for this site took place in 2007 (200 job creations).
