Tallinna Linnatranspordi AS (TLT), an urban passenger transport company in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, announced the need to find 125 new bus drivers as of February 2019. There are two companies who provide public bus transport service in Tallinn. The bigger company, TLT, has around 1,835 employees and covers 90% of the bus lines. The smaller company, MRP Linna Liinid OÜ (MRP), has around 120 employees and covers 10% of the bus lines in Tallinn. Due to financial difficulties, the MRP decided to end the contract with Tallinn as of February. The bus lines operated by them are taken over by TLT. TLT had then only two weeks to organise 50 buses and 125 employees to cover these lines. On 30 January it was announced that they the agreements for renting buses are being concluded, but there are still 30 buses missing by the start of February. It was also announced that most of the additional bus drivers have been employed by February, but the recruitment process is still ongoing.
