Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Private security services company, Manguard Plus, has announced plans to create 300 new jobs. The new recruits will be trained in skills ranging from counter terrorism to conflict resolution to health and safety. Manguard is opening its new 'Concierge Plus' service - a complete front of house section aimed at corporate clients. Amongst its clients are Aer Lingus, CRH and Virgin Media.
As of January 2019, the security firm, headquartered in Naas, employs 1,200 people across Ireland, while it also has offices in Waterford, Cork, Belfast, London and Chester.
