Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
TAP, a Portuguese air transport, has announced plans to create 100 new positions. Information assistants, support for passengers with reduced mobility, assistants for the department of lost and found, drivers for baggage loads and discharges, childcare and check-in service are the main available vacancies. The positions are available for full-time, as well as part-time. In January 2019, an agreement for the expansion of Lisbon’s airport capacity was signed, with an expected investment of €1.15 billion until 2028.
A previous restructuring took place in 2018, when 470 jobs were created.
