Description
Safehands Nurseries has confirmed that it is to close nine of its twelve nurseries in the North West, resulting in the loss of 100 jobs. The nurseries closed for Christmas and will not reopen. Three nurseries will continue, employing around 35 people, but they have been sold and are no longer part of the Safehands group. The group has also sold other parts of its care business, though it has held on to parts of its entertainment portfolio. The closed nurseries are being offered for sale, though there are no reports of any prospective buyers.
