Description
German discount supermarket chain Lidl has announced a development plan to be implemented in Poland in 2019. The plan includes the opening of two distribution centres. Specifically, the first one is expected to be operational in Kałuszyn in the first quarter of 2019 and will create about 220 jobs, as it was announced by the company in September 2018. The other distribution centre will be located in Stargard and is expected to be launched by the end of 2019. The unit in Stargard will create about 200 jobs.
The company revealed that about 40 new stores were opened in Poland in 2018. As of December 2018, the company has about 670 stores and 9 distribution centres across the country.
