Description
BGM Scotland, a business services company based in Glasgow, has announced plans to create 200 new jobs in Dundee. The jobs will be based in a new call centre in the city and will service clients including Together Energy and an unnamed price comparison website. It is being reported that the company started recruitment for the new positions in November 2018 and it is hoped that the office will be open before the end of 2018, though no specific date has been given.
UPDATED, 14/02/2019: It has been reported that BGM Scotland has collapsed less than three months after pledging to create 200 jobs in Dundee. According to the managing director of the company, the collapse is due to a legal dispute involving non-payment of monies. Around 40 staff are understood to be in the process of being made redundant. The previously announced job creation will not be going ahead.
