Description

German automaker Volkswagen has announced the opening of its new software development centre in Lisbon, which will employ 300 IT specialists. According to a spokesperson for the company, the centre will focus on developing software for digital ecosystems and internal processes of the group. One third of the new employees are expected to work on cloud-based services and specifically for the commercial vehicle sector for MAN Truck and Bus. As of November 2018, the Volkswagen Group employs around 650,000 people globally.
