Description

Swedish battery supplier Northvolt has inaugurated its new manufacturing plant in Gdańsk, Poland. Production will commence on April 2019 and the company is to create 100 jobs for engineers specialised in electricity, machinery, maintenance and development. The factory, with an initial capacity of 10,000 battery modules per year, will operate as a partnership between Northvolt and battery manufacturer South Bay Solutions. The facility will produce full battery systems, ready for deployment and the number of its staff will increase in the long term, according to a spokesperson for the company.
