Description
Vajda Papír, a Hungary-based manufacturer of paper products, completed the construction of its new plant in Dunaföldvár, Southern Transdanubia. The plant will provide 100 new jobs.
With the new plant, the firm’s production capacity will increase by about 50%, while the management expects actual output grow in 2019 by 20%. The investment cost was HUF 15 billion (€47 million as of 15 November 2018). The government supported the investment with HUF 4.5 billion (€14 million), under its large enterprise investment support programme. This programme targets large firms not eligible for EU-funded support schemes.
Vajda Papír was founded in 1999. The firm produces hygiene and household paper products. The company has a Norway-based subsidiary, founded In 2013, under the name of Vajda-Papír Scandinavia AS.
