Description
Online retailer Amazon has announced plans to create 1,030 jobs at three sites across the UK. Six hundred jobs will be created in Manchester, with a further 200 jobs in Edinburgh, and 180 jobs in Cambridge. The jobs will be skilled jobs, which will be involved with the development of software and the cloud computing part of the business. The roles are expected to be filled by the end of 2018, which will bring the total number of employees in the UK to around 27,500.
Previous restructurings took place in 2018 (2,500 jobs created in July and 400 jobs created in March).
