Refinitiv, a data services company, has announced it plans to close its site in Wrexham, North Wales. The decision will result in the loss of 300 jobs. The company, which was previously part of the Thompson Reuters group, was recently subject to a takeover by the US based Blackstone Group. A spokesperson for the company confirmed that the decision to close the Wrexham branch was made for operational reasons, and that the company isĀ in dialogue with employees and their representatives. There is no information available on when the closure is due to take place.
