Starbucks, the biggest coffee chain worldwide, has announced plans to close its regional support centre in Amsterdam; 186 out of the 190 employees on the site will be made redundant and four will shift to the company’s roasting plant in Amsterdam. The layoffs are part of a series of measures, which have been undertaken in the context of the corporate restructuring taking place in the United States. There is no information available on when the closure is due to take place.
