Description
Bauhaus is expanding its e-commerce division by opening a new facility in Stockholm, Sweden. The number of new jobs created is between 100 and 150. The new facility is set to open during 2019.
Due to recent problems with delayed deliveries by subcontractors, Bauhaus is taking control of a larger portion of its distribution network by opening a new distribution facility in the Stockholm region. Bauhaus opened a similar facility in Gothenburg last year and the experience has been very positive. The expansion gives Bauhaus control of the whole delivery process from stock to end customer.
CEO of Bauhaus Sweden says that a stable and reliable delivery system is essential for the company due to the growing share of e-commerce. He further states that the success at the Gothenburg facility is what motivated the company to make this move in the Stockholm region.
