Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Food manufacturer Bakkavor has announced plans to create 200 new jobs across two of its bread production sites in the North West of England in Nantwich and Crewe. The company, which is headquartered in Spalding, Lincolnshire will create these new positions at its factories in Crewe and Nantwich where 670 people currently work. It is understood that the roles will be permanent and the vast majority will be factory operative roles, and there will be both day and night shift work positions available. There is no information availble on when the jobs are due to start.
