Description

Private healthcare group Marrelli Hospital based in Crotone (Calabria) announced its decision to dismiss all its 300 employees.

The decision came after failed negotiations with the Government's heathcare commissioner, who suspended public payments to the private hospital. Such payments are refunds for already provided healthcare services which, according to the commissioner, were not part of the approved healthcare budgets of Crotone's provincial healthcare organisation.

As a consequence of the suspension of public financing, the management of Marrelli Hospital decided to discontinue its activities.
