Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Konesko AS, an Estonian company manufacturing electric motors and electric components, announced the creation of at least 50 new jobs.
The new jobs will be created in a new plant, the construction of which should end in spring 2019. At that time, new workforce will be recruited, so that the production of electric motors can begin by the autumn. The exact profiles of the new employees have not been announced.
The new building will be the fourth plant of the company and the most efficient one as it will be fully equipped with new, modern technology, which allows a high degree of automation. The cost of the plant is €10 million and the production will be fully exported.
