Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
French provider of IT and engineering services Sii has announced that it will create over 100 jobs at its new unit in Bydgoszcz by the end of 2019. The unit will open in October 2018. Sii is looking for programmers, testers, as well as back office staff, including HR specialists, business developers, office managers and administrative staff.
In autumn 2018, in total three new Sii’s units will open across Poland: Częstochowa (in September), Piła and Bydgoszcz (October). By the end of 2018, the company will increase its workforce to 4,100 employees across the country.
Sii was established in 1979 in France. The company has been operating in Poland since 2006. As of September 2018, the company employs about 3,700 people in nine Polish cities: Gdańsk, Katowice, Kraków, Łódź, Lublin, Poznań, Rzeszów, Warszawa and Wrocław.
In June 2018, Sii announced a restructuring programme resulting in the creation of 100 jobs at the office in Katowice.
