Description
The German logistics firm Rhenus will be cutting 240 jobs at its plant in Rüsselsheim due to internal restructuring. A timeframe for the implementation of the job reductions has not yet been announced. Rhenus prepares parts for Opel’s production. Opel now intends to carry out activities by itself which it previously outsourced, making cuts at Rhenus’ plant in Rüsselsheim necessary.
Negotiations regarding a social plan have started but appear to proceed with difficulty.
As of August 2018, Rhenus has 480 employees in Rüsselsheim.
