Description
The Dutch toy retailer Intertoys, is closing all of its 23 stores in Germany by 31 January 2019, which will result in the loss of 250 jobs. Most shops are located in North-Rhine Westphalia. Some shops might close at an earlier time, if a solution can be found regarding the future of the properties. According to management, the closure is inevitable, as sales do not cover the costs anymore.
Intertoys opened its first shop in Germany in 1996 and is market leader in the Netherlands.
