Description

The worlds largest supplier of technology, products and drilling to the oil and gas industry, Schlumberger, announced on the 13th of August 2018 that the company will have to cut around 100 jobs in Esbjerg, Denmark, as part of a larger savings round. Around 30 employees were made redundant at the end of July, and the management try to replace 70 of the redundant employees to new jobs. According to Schlumberger, the restructuring is due to the loss of a billion dollar contract with Total/Maersk Oil. The contract went to Halliburton, another giant in oil service businees.
