Description

German discount retailer Aldi will open five new stores during the late summer/early autumn of 2018. Taken together, these new store openings will create approximately 100 jobs. The stores will open in five different towns, Kaposvár, Szolnok, Veszprém, Enying, Üllő, which belong to four different regions of Hungary. The first store (in Szolnok) will open in late August, the remaining four openings are due in the subsequent weeks. The new stores include both greenfield investments (Üllő) and brownfield investments (Kaposvár).

The five new openings highlight the continuing expansion of Aldi in Hungary. Aldi Magyarország Élelmiszer opened its first store in Hungary in 2008. With the new store openings, the supermarket chain will operate 137 stores on a national scale.
