Description

Norton Motorcycles, the UK-based motorcycle manufacturer, has started a business expansion programme, which includes building new manufacturing facilities on its current site, creating 100 new jobs and taking on new apprentices over the coming months. The company is recruiting designers, CAD engineers, purchasing professionals and production operators.

Norton's chief executive and owner said: “All of our bikes are hand built, with engines, wheels and sub-assemblies also built in our factory using 83 per cent UK-sourced components. The environment here is very different to a mass-manufacture production line, so we like to think it is a great environment for people with the right enthusiasm and application”.

The British owner bought the Norton brand in 2008 and the company currently employs 120 people at its factory located on the grounds of Donington Hall in north-west Leicestershire.
