Slovak subsidiary of Austrian automotive lighting systems maker ZKW Slovakia expands its production in Krusovice plant, near Topolcany, where about 300 new jobs will be created. Business expansion is attributed to the increased demand of nearby customers, for instance, Audi, Porsche, Jaguar Land Rover and Mercedes. ZKW Slovakia is the second largest subsidiary of ZKW Group and employs 2,400 people. Premium lightings for personal cars, lorries and motorbikes are produced there. The firm is investing over €10 million in construction of a new production facility, which started in summer 2018 and should be ready for operations in March 2019. ZKW started to operate in Slovakia in 2006 with less than 100 employees, and it made profit €30.3 million in 2017, in comparison with profit less than €5 million in 2012.
