Description

The various Ministries and state agencies have announced a tender for almost 200 new civil servants. More than 100 jobs were opened in the Custom Administration. The Ministry of Interior and Police search for 50 new employees: mostly inspectors, advisors and interpreters. The Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure needs 52 new persons, while the Ministry of Justice searches 42 new civil servants. The State Geodetic Administration announced the employment of 34 public servants. All of them will start working with permanent contracts within the state administration after the end of the competition in September 2018. New employments in the state sector were criticised as not necessary according to the opposition party.

Over the last 12 months, it has been reported that the government of Croatia hired more than 600 new civil servants; around 326 in January 2018 and 300 in August 2017.
