Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
French producer of printing components Artech Poland has announced that it will cut its employment at the production facility in Prudnik. It implies that 150 employees will be dismissed through a collective dismissal programme within the next months. Currently, the conditions of the programme are being negotiated with the local trade union. As the source reports, financial reasons and organizational issues are behind the decision.
Artech Poland is part of Armor group specializing in chemistry and printing technologies. The company has been operating in Prudnik, Poland, since 1996. Currently, Artech Poland employs about 267 people at its first unit in Prudnik.
