Description

The commercial court of Rouen has decided the liquidation of the Abattoirs industriels de la Manche (AIM), a pork slaughterhouse. A group of pig farmers who made an offer and expected to keep 160 of the 235 employees, failed to obtain the support of banks and announced to the court that they were withdrawing their take-over offer.  Therefore, the court had no other choice to pronounce the liquidation. The company was placed in receirvership on 4 April. In February 2015, the commercial court of Coutance approved two take-over offers for the Abattoirs industriels de la Manche (AIM) with the consequent loss of 314 jobs losses of a total of 590.
