Swedish furniture retailer Ikea has presented 700 employees the possibility to stop working at the company. This concerns the employees in the subsidiary Inter Ikea Systems in Delft, the Netherlands, but also in Malmö and Helsingborg. Information regarding exactly how many employees in Sweden respectively the Netherlands this concern, is not available.

A spokesperson for Inter Ikea Systems, Kaisa Lyckdal, said that Ikea aims at continuing with a sustainable and cost-efficient growth, which demands updates ahead of the future. There is no information regarding when the employment effect will start.

Earlier this year in May, the company gave notice to 90 employees in Malmö and around 20 in Helsingborg, mainly in HR, sustainability marketing and communication.
