Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
US-based car parts manufacturer Cooper Standard Automotive has opened its second production hall in the city of Bystřice nad Pernštějnem, where it will create 140 new jobs by the end of 2018. The site currently employs 60 workers. Serial production in the new hall with an area of 7800 m2, designed for CNC bending and assembly of brake and fuel pipes, will begin in September. The company mainly recruits machine operators, production masters and CNC technology controllers.
