Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is planning to create 1,000 new jobs, over the next two years, in Dublin.

The jobs will be in software engineering, network engineering, data specialisation and machine learning.

Amazon now has 2,500 employees across Dublin (1,500) and Cork (1,000), having established its presence in Ireland 12 years ago.

The Taoiseach welcomed the AWS job expansion, saying it 'would help Ireland meet its ambition to make Dublin the 'tech capital of Europe'.'
