Description
Food Utopia has announced plans to close its salad processing site in Corby, Northamptonshire. The site is being shut because it is currently operating at a loss. All 300 members of staff are set to lose their jobs, and the local MP has described the situation as 'extremely worrying'. The plans are still subject to the statutory consultation process, though the company has said that it has not been able to identify a viable alternative for the site. All production is set to end on 1 August 2018.
