In the framework of the merger of the two retail companies Davigel and Brake France into a new company called Sysco France, the management has announced a reorganisation that will lead to cut 630 positions in France, but also to the creation of 430 positions. Therefore, the net loss of jobs is of 199 positions. The management expect to complete the information and consultation process on the employment safeguard plan, by the end of 2018. The first departure of employees is foreseen after an agremment is reached. The management has already announced job cuts at theDavigel plant in Rouxmesnil-Bouteilles (Seine-Maritime) with 79 job cuts on a total of 295 and 3 positions at Tötes (Seine-Maritime) where 117 people are employed.
Sysco France employs 4,025 people in France. The management want to increase the competitiveness of the company to win market share. Davigel was sold by Nestlé to the British company Brakes in 2015, which was taken over by Sysco in 2016. Sysco annouced the merger of its French and British subsidiaries Davigel and Brakes in November 2017.
