Description

It has been announced that 400 jobs are to be cut at the BCM factory in Nottingham. The site, which was formerly owned by Boots Chemists, manufactures beauty products for the chain. The company, which had been part of Boots since 1883 was sold in November 2017 to French company Fareva. The site currently employs 1,000 people and the job cuts are part of a two year plan to return the company back to profitability. It is understood that the statutory consultation process will begin in May 2018, with the first 78 jobs to be cut within six months of the original announcement.
