Description
On February 27, 2018, the CEO of the Italian postal services company Poste Italiane launched the company's 2018-2022 industrial plan. The plan "Deliver 2022" foresees an overall reduction of the company's headcount to 123,000 (from a total of 138,000 employees in 2017), with on average 3,000 exits per year.
According to the CEO, the planned workforce reduction will take place only on a voluntary basis, through early retiremens and other subsidized exits. The industrial plan also envisages 10,000 new hirings, of which 5,000 experts in financial and insurance activities.
Currently, Poste Italiane employs 138,000 workers in Italy and it is the largest employer in the country.
