Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Parfums Christian Dior has launched a recruitment campaing in Autumn 2017. In this framework, in April 2018 the company has announced the recruitment of 250 employees by 2020 to boost the activity of the its production site based in Saint-Jean-de-Braye (Loiret). The company has to deal with an increase in demand from Asian countries. This recruitment campaign will increase the site's workforce to nearly 1,900 employees by 2020. The aim is to strengthen production units and technical functions. The managment highlights shortage of qualified employees in the job market. 'All industries today face recruitment difficulties in these positions because, unfortunately, these professional sectors have not been valued for decades', said the management.
The site has recruited 800 employees in the last 8 years, according to the HR manager.
